A postdoctoral position is available in the new Centre for Biodiversity Theory and Modelling (CBTM) at the CNRS Experimental Ecology Station in Moulis, France. The mission of the CBTM is to foster and perform innovative theoretical research into the ecological and societal causes and consequences of biodiversity changes.
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
have a PhD in ecology, mathematics or a related field;
have strong quantitative or mathematical skills;
develop an independent research project that falls within the mission of the CBTM.
Research projects at interfaces (between ecological subdisciplines or between ecology and other sciences) are encouraged.
The position is available for a period of two years starting as soon as possible (preferably in January 2014), with a contract as IR2 (salary in the range €25,000–30,000 per year depending on experience).
