Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Jin Wang’s group in the department of pharmacology at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) to work on new polymeric materials for drug and gene deliveries.

Minimum Requirements:
1. The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering or pharmaceutical sciences.
2. The candidate should have at least 2 first authored publications in internationally recognized journals, Such as JACS, Angew, Journal Controlled Release, Biomaterials, etc.
3. The candidate should be motivated, independent, creative, and energetic.
4. The candidate should be familiar with synthetic organic techniques. It would be competitive to have experience in different techniques in polymer synthesis and characterization, such as ATRP, RAFT, and ROP etc.
The research work will focus on developing new materials for drug and gene deliveries. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry or pharmaceutical sciences, or related disciplines. Applicants should have extensive experience in the techniques for organic and/or polymer synthesis and characterization. It would be more beneficial if the candidate has experience in drug delivery and nanoparticle fabrication.
The candidate will join a dynamic interdisciplinary group and should be willing and able to communicate with people from different backgrounds, including chemistry, engineering and biology. This position can be started immediately.
