The Institute for Advanced Studies on Science, Technology and Society (IAS-STS) is inviting applications for the international fellowship program. The IAS-STS invites researchers to apply for a stay between 1 October 2014 and 30 June 2015 as a research Fellow (up to nine months) or visiting Scholar (shorter period, e.g. a month). The Institute provides the opportunity to investigate the social implications of scientific and technological developments and to conduct research into the links and interactions between science, technology and society. Applicants for a long-term fellowship have the opportunity to apply for a grant (940 Euros per month) to cover their living costs. Applications will close on 31 December 2013 for 2014/15 fellowship programme.

The London Metropolitan University is offering five Postgraduate Research VC Scholarships (MPhil/PhD) for Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and Faculty of Life Sciences and Computing. 4 x Fees-only scholarships are awarded for Home/EU applicants up to three years full-time or six years part-time, subject to successful progression. One stipendiary scholarship is awarded for Home/EU and international/non-EU applicants which covers fees plus an annual stipend/living allowance for the successful applicant up to three years full-time subject to successful progression. Any applicants holding an upper second or first class honours degree or a Masters-level degree or an equivalent qualification or experience in an appropriate subject are eligible to apply. The application deadline is 1St October 2013 for February 2014 start.
