Job announcement Microbial Ecology (Bio-07/2013)

The Department of Biological Oceanography (working group Ecophysiology, Schulz-Vogt) of the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde (IOW) is offering a full-time position (40 hrs/week) as

PostDoc

at the earliest convenience. Remuneration is paid in accordance with the TV-L salary scale at level EG 13 monthly gross salary. The employment is temporary for 3 years.

The IOW is an independent institute of the Leibniz Association, engaged in system analysis of coastal and marginal seas, with special focus on the Baltic Sea. The scientists of the four sections (Physical Oceanography, Marine Chemistry, Biological Oceanography and Marine Geology) cooperate within the framework of a joint research program.

A doctor degree and experiences in the research field Microbial Ecology/Marine Microbiology are required for application. The exact direction of work conducted at IOW depends on the research foci of the candidate, but should be clearly related to the Baltic Sea and the research program of the institute.
