The Department of Business Administration at Aarhus University, School of Business and Social Sciences, invites applications for a postdoc research position within the international research programme PACE – Promoting a Culture of Entrepreneurship – which is funded by a five year grant (2011-2016) from the Strategic Research Council. The position will be affiliated to the Research Group iCARE (interdisciplinary Community for Advanced Research in Entrepreneurship)  for a period of 3 years, and the research will be carried out within the area of entrepreneurship education with a strong focus on developing and evaluating educational initiatives. The successful candidate is expected to take up appointment as soon as possible or subject to mutual agreement (no later than January 1, 2014).

The PACE project aims to show what works and what does not in specific educational environments to contribute to the evidence-based development of entrepreneurial education initiatives. The project combines several research methods to develop new solutions and practices as well as providing transferable teaching models. Its methodology is based on the reasoning underlying practice-based inquiry and triangulates action research, self-efficacy measurement and think aloud protocols with ethnographic methods.

Applicants should hold a PhD either in the area of entrepreneurship – or in education research combined with studies of entrepreneurship. Applicants with an international publication track record within entrepreneurship education will be preferred.
The ideal candidate has strong qualifications in both quantitative and qualitative research and is able to create synergy between the project’s qualitative and quantitative elements.

The candidate will become part of a vibrant research environment dominated by intellectual fellowship. The iCARE research group conducts cutting edge research at the forefront of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education.
